ServoTools was founded in May 1999 in Danville, CA by President, Greg Schneider.  Since that time the company has been predominantly a consulting firm serving the semiconductor capital equipment industry.

Greg Schneider has been an electronic servo engineer for nearly 30 years.  Initial experience was in the defense industry analyzing target tracking radar systems for purposes of developing electronic countermeasures that could exploit their control systems.

In 1985 he began his own consulting firm specializing in the analysis, design and development of servo & motion control systems.  Since that time he has served the transportation, medical, robotics, computer and semiconductor capital equipment industries.  Many of his past clients are major corporations in the electronics industry. He has contributed to the development of servo & motion control systems for these clients at all levels and has published papers on various control systems topics.  Specific areas of control systems expertise include complex computer modeling, controller software development with high and low level programming languages,  analog and digital circuit implementations of control algorithms and power amplifier designs.

The company was formed to pursue opportunities in the application of control system technology that will enhance and improve the development and testing of servo & motion control systems.
